Mental Health Nursing
 
(2-2-0) Principles and concepts of mental health,
psychopathology, and treatment modalities related
to the nursing care of patients and their
families. This course lends itself to a blocked
approach. Focus is on holistic human needs.
Associate degree nurse role assimilation is
facilitated through the development of identified
major concepts.
Required Prerequisites: RNSG-1413, RNSG-1360,
RNSG-1105, PSYC-2301 or Administrative Approval
Required Corequisites: RNSG-2163 (If it is the
second attempt at passing this course, then the
co-requisite may be waived.)
