Undergraduate Course Description
Architectural Technology
 
(3-3-0) Introduction to materials and methods in
the design and construction of buildings. Course
will include a survey of buildings that conserve
energy, water, and human resources; sustainable
design and construction. The course will
illustrate the connection of the previously
mentioned topics, when applicable, to the digital
age and the Internet of Things (IoT) which are
reshaping our built environment. Course is
intended to fulfill all or part of the
following National Architectural Accrediting
Board (NAAB) Student Performance Criteria:
B.7 Building Envelope Systems and Assemblies
B.8 Building Materials and Assemblies
