Advanced Flight Operations | |
This course is designed for commercial/equivalent FAA certificated small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) operators. This course consists of lecture, flight operation demonstration and student hands-on demonstration specific to small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS). Instruction may include use of simulator instruction. Topics will cover flight and operations theories and techniques, platform categories, sensors and payloads, technical documents, and processes of automation. Students will observe and participate in-flight operations on UAS platform. Upon completion of this course the student will be able to perform the necessary skills required in the basic flight course and the following advanced maneuvers: horizontal and vertical box patterns; S turns; Rounded corner; rectangular patterns; vertical triangle; follow with yaw; orbit; and the following maneuvers with cameral operation: forward reveal; forward reveal with climb; corkscrew; zoom reveal; yaw and reveal; and tracking. 1.6 CEUs. |
